In the Hawaiian culture plants are of a great importance and value. They often are used for medicinal reasons. Plants are selected depending on each individual’s needs. While picking, the practitioner follows a protocol. Chants are performed and prayers are said, until the right plant shows it self.
Respecting the higher spirit (Akua), Nature (ʻĀina) and Human (Kanaka) is one of the greatest value and gift of the (this) Hawaiian tradition.
With this respect and focus the treatments at LauLāʻau are performed. Each person is treated individually depending on their needs.
